Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research investigation of humanistic idea of ancient philosophy, in particular of ancient Indian, Chinese and Greek philosophy, as a form of organization humanistic origins and tendencies, which are reflecting the human relation to the world, which are maintaining the essence and fullness of human existence, striving for self-perfection, self-actualization and harmony, problems of self-restriction and freedom. The philosophical texts were analyzed as the reflection of humanistic tendencies of ancient philosophy and also as the ideological foundation for further theoretical research in humanistic direction. On the basis of this analyses was determined the concrete historical sense of humanistic idea of ancient philosophy as a whole. It was also determined the specificity of interpretation the humanistic idea by ancient Indian, Chinese and Greek philosophy, which have got conceptual expression in the terms of “nirvana”, “zhen” and “ataraxia”. As a result of comparative analyses were marked out common features and differences in humanistic potential of eastern and western philosophical traditions.
