According to ringing results there are revealed seasonal and geographic features of the structure of the migration routes crossing continental zones as well as functional values of stopovers in the region. Basing on results of mass captures, measurements and ringing of waders it is described for the first time their population and sex-age distribution characteristics on stopovers along the Azov-Black Sea coast of Ukraine
