Essay

Object: refractive anomalies. Purpose: to increase the efficacy of surgical correction of ametropia, taking into account peculiarities of the eye optic changes, optical effect prognosis, prevention of complications. Methods: ophthalmological, refractometric, histological, experimental, clinical, laser correlation spectroscopy, statistical; Jawal ophthalmometer, Hartinger refractometer. Received additional scientific knowledge about the laws of refractive changes and stability framing function of the cornea. Advancing scientific knowledge about the development of complications of "growing epithelium" and the proposed adhesive composition, which prevents the application of its development. The new experimental model of clinical refraction increased up to 6 diopters was proposed. An additional risk factors that reduce the reliability of achieving visual acuity of 1.0 or higher were revealed in patients with high myopia. For the first time, according to the laser correlation spectroscopy revealed that the prevalence in the tear fluid of light-scattering particles as small as 10 nm and greater than 1000 nm (70%) in patients with refractive anomalies had unfavourable prognostic factor for postoperative complications. Developed methods are adopted at the SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of AMS of Ukraine", Eye Microsurgery Department of the Donetsk RCTMA, Cherkasy Regional Hospital and included in the lectures, seminars at Odessa SMU. Sphere of use - medicine, ophthalmology.
