Dissertation is devoted to the place that took the Krakow historical school in the Polish Historiography of the sekond half of XIX - the beginning of XXI ctntury. This is the first comprehensive study in Domestic Historiography of one of the most famous schools in Polish historical science. The views diversity of the shool sience the early days of its existence found both possionate supporters and implacable opponents. Disputes on the scientific heritage of the Krakow historical school are still in progress.
