Essay

The structure of the paper represents the integrity of modern linguistic research by means of underlying cognitive similarities of linguistic categorization, strategic planning, and linguistic modeling that represent the main technologies for the creation of the general model of human-computer verbal interaction. The cognitive discursive paradigm taken as a basis of the research enabled us to set up the foundations for the English software discourse analysis. As a result, the main features of the software discourse have been established. They help to differentiate it from the rest types of discourse communication and include the following: objectivity (i.e. the ability to specify user's formal and conceptual features), rationality (i.e. the ability to specify user's intentions and motivations), multimodality or multimodality (i.e. the ability to provide the communication via more than one communicative channel).
