It was determined the role of hyperhomocysteinemia and associated with it vascular and metabolic disorders as a new independent metabolic factor of fibrosis and cirrhosis progression, revealed new biochemical mechanisms of hepatic fibrogenesis and cirrhosis decompensation, identified the most unfavorable metabolic pattern of progression of chronic liver disease, proposed a differentiated approach to liver fibrosis therapy.
