In the dissertation it is provided the theoretical and methodological grounds of housing market research, it is identified the socio-economic and historical features of domestic housing market forming and development. The reasons of state intervention and its purposes in housing market are found out. The priority aims and tasks of public housing policy are set, and also the mechanisms of its development and implementation are described. It is analyzed the legislation in the field of housing relations regulation, the institutional infrastructure of modern housing markets and directions of its improvement in Ukraine are considered.
