Essay

Dissertation is devoted to improving the effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with acute and chronic purulent sinusitis in various stages of the disease, taking into account the functional state of mucociliary transport system, as well as regional characteristics of the species composition and susceptibility to antimicrobial agents etiologically important microorganisms. The basis of the results of the analysis are incidence of chronic sinusitis in the ARC for the period from 2001 to 2010. The entire study period is characterized by persistent high incidence sinusitis: incidence rate of growth has averaged 5-10% per year. The regularities of the distribution of etiologically important microorganisms in different regions of the Crimea in patients with sinusitis. The necessity for an integrated approach to the treatment of sinusitis, including rehabilitation. Using objective methods of investigation, we have proved the importance of early pathogenetic treatment to prevent a recurrence of the disease and chronic inflammation.
