Essay

For the first time, the stable subnanometer clusters of semiconductor compounds AIIBV group were found. Their probable structure and binding energy were determined. The physical mechanisms of the size and temperature dependences of the frequency of surface plasmons in nanoparticles of noble metals were revealed. For the first time, the possibility of using surface plasmons as a sensor of phase transformations in metal-dielectric nanocomposites was shown. The huge enhancement of photoluminescence of Ag and Cu nanoparticles caused by surface plasmons was observed. The alternating shift of surface plasmon resonance in copper nanoparticles excited by intense laser pulses was observed.
