Essay

The approach for theoretic simulation of the processes of propagation of nonstation-ary discontinuous waves in heterogeneous and composite anisotropic elastic media is elaborated. In the framework of zero approximation of ray method, the techniques are pro-posed for the wave intensity determination in small vicinity of its front. The algorithm for numerical solution of kinematic problem is realized, which permits to determine the ge-ometry of the moving wave front, to analyse its transformation and singularities. The prob-lems about dynamic interaction of the discontinuous wave fronts with curvilinear inter-faces between different elastic media are stated and solved. The Snell equations are used for investigation of the wave diffraction in the boundary surface dividing the media with different parameters of elasticity the focusing and dispersive properties of natural elastic lenses are found. The investigation results can be used for determination of the most dangerous seismic zone on the earth surface.
