Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to theoretical and methodological grounds as well as to practical implementation of educational standards in the sphere of tourism. The systematic approach is used for analysis of the educational content development, and to the structure of provided academic courseware. The genesis of standardization in vocational education is described in structural and historical terms. As a result the stages of forming and development of standards of higher education have been defined and its general features have been classified. Standardology has been defined as the theory and practice of establishing standards of higher education. Concepts of educational standards have been analyzed, each of which presented with interconnected models of qualitative system management. Proceeding from this, the methodology of standardization of higher vocational education as a system of existential, value, cognitive and practical components has been presented.
