Dem'yanenko B. Development of cratological knowledge in Ukraine.

The thesis presents a comprehensive study of problems of interpretation of the phenomenon of power in the domestic political science and related social and humanitarian sciences, there also conducted specification and methodological separation of the basic definitions - "power", "political power", "state power", "social power". The process of formation and historical transformation of knowledge about power (political, state) in foreign countries is researched. The modern foreign concept of power and the degree of their implementation in domestic cratological knowledge is analyzed. The theoretical synthesis of the basic paradigms of political understanding of power is done. Researched the genesis of conceptions about power (political, state) at different stages of historical development of Ukraine. Shown the possibilities of social and humanitarian sciences, especially political science, in seeking the ways and developing the mechanizms effective of positive national and international cratological experience in the reform of political power in modern Ukraine.
