Essay

The thesis is devoted to the enhancement of treatment efficacy of patients with locally advanced oral cavity and oropharynx cancer. The methods and modes of intraoperative cryodestruction of tumors were worked out. The algorithm of mandible reconstruction after its resection was created. Preventive lymph node dissection increased the median survival of patients. It has been shown the expediency of immunohistochemical detection of p53, bcl-2 and Ki-67 expression in tumor for the prediction of tumor relapse. Chemiluminescence method for the determination of lipids peroxidation in the blood serum of patients allows to evaluate the clinical outcome after surgery.
