The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical generalization and new methods of solving scientific problem of concept development, elaboration of methodological principles and evolution of methodical tools of management consulting companies. In the work the conceptual basis of management consulting as research activity is developed. The problems of enterprise development as the subject field of management consulting are systemized. Dynamics of development of management consulting industry in the world economy is researched. Stages and prospects of development of management consulting in Ukraine are defined, its role in development of domestic enterprises is identified. Directions of institutional development of management consulting are proposed; situation of management consulting in Ukraine is analyzed and directions of increasing of its professionalization are introduced. Knowledge oriented nature of the activity of consulting companies is grounded; the influencing factors of organizational structure of the consulting process are defined. Implementation of process design approach to the organizational and economic configuration of consulting company is proposed. Conceptual principles of efficiency evaluation of knowledge oriented and problem oriented consulting are substantiated. Conceptual framework and methodological position of economic parameters calculation of the consulting company are developed.
