Object of research - development of postchemo-ray damage of the lungs under the influence of genetic factors. A research objective:To determine the role of genetic factors in the development postchemo-ray damage of the lungs in breast cancer patients and to develop ways to prevent high-risk groups. Research methods - clinical, instrumental, laboratory, cytologic, morphologic, genetic, statistical processing of results. Novelty: fo the first time investigated the prevalence of C677T MTHFR gene polymorphism in patients with breast cancer and found to influence the development postchemo-ray damage of the lungs. The effect of Quercetin and Thiotriazoline the level of anti-inflammatory, and prooxidant profibrotic cytokines in experiments and in patients with breast cancer. Results: the appointment of antioxidants allows correcting the negative impact of gene mutation C677T MTHFR, reduces the incidence of radiation-postchemo-ray pulmonity bronchitis and 27%, sclerosis and fibrosis of the lungs by 30%, significantly improves lung and quality of life in patients with breast cancer. It is introduced in practice of the Donetsk regional antitumoral centre; Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Oncology Center and Poltava Regional Clinical Oncology Center. Results of work are used in educational process of Donetsk national medical university named after M.Gorky and Vinnitsa National Medical University named after M.I.Pirogov. A field of application: medicine (oncology).
