Essay

Object of study: the process of sintering and phase formation in the densely sintered ceramics manufacture from natural and man-made materials. Objective: scientific foundations and development of energy-saving technologies densely sintered multipurpose ceramic products on the basis of physical and chemical laws and technological principles of materials with controlled phase composition obtaining at a lower temperature heat treatment. Methods: geometric-topological, physical-chemical, thermodynamic, gamma-spectroscopy, IR-spectral, viscometric, X-ray, differential-thermo gravimetric, electron-microscopic, petrographic, dilatometric, and standard methods for determining the properties of semi-finished and finished products. Theoretical and practical results: the methodology for obtaining of densely sintered ceramic materials with controlled phase composition at a low temperature synthesis by modification of the melt's structure and properties and the controlled phase formation was proposed; the developed energy-saving technologies of ceramic clinker, gress tiles, low-temperature porcelain and other products of densely sintered ceramics can reduce the cost of production by 30-40% due to the implementation of energy conservation reserves and the use of the domestic quartz-feldspar raw materials instead of imported. Novelty: the physical and chemical basis of energy-saving technologies of densely sintered functional ceramic materials were created; the regularities of low-temperature synthesis densely sintered ceramics with controlled phase formation and the non-frit opaque glazes formation were set, a new approach for predicting the effectiveness of intensifier sintering appropriate to the technology was offered. The degree of implementation: the technologies implemented by enterprises: "Kerameya", "Euroton", "Ukrpolimed" and taken to the introduction by Company "Baranowski porcelain factory" and "Donbass Minerals". In NTU "KhPI" the research results are used in the educational process in presenting disciplines of specialty 05130104 - Chemical technology of refractory non-metal and silicate materials, preparation of masters and Ph.D. Scope: construction industry, manufacturing of technical, special and consumer densely sintered ceramics.
