Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to epidemiological and clinical and laboratory substantiation of differential region-specific approaches to prophylaxis of lesions of solid dental tissues in children with consideration of overall levels of pollution. Based on the results of epidemiological examination a regional database of major dental disease in children was created, and region-specific differences in prevalence of periodontal disease and malocclusion were found; these depend greatly upon the overall levels of pollution.
