Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of phonon and exciton elementary excitations in bulk crystals such as graphite, boron nitride, a-ZnP2 , CdP2, 2H-PbJ2, a-Hgj2, b-HgJ2, 3C-SiC and in periodic nanostructures such as graphenes, single-walled carbon and single-walled boron nitride nanotubes by the methods of optical spectroscopy. The energy spectra of elementary excitations, their symmetry and dispersion have been determined. For the description of electron-phonon processes the preference has been given to introducing of methods, based on the theory of projective representations of groups of symmetry.
