The thesis is devoted to important theoretical and practical problems of legal personality at the present stage of development of labor law and labor legislation. It outlines the development of legislation on labor legal personality in the Soviet period and the period of Ukrainian independence, especially its international legal regulation. The conceptual basis of legal personality in labor law is represented and trends of its improvement are defined on the ground of surveying of scientific opinions of jurisprudents, as well as labor law doctrine, labor legislation and international experience.
