Sheychenko V. Mechanical and technological grounds of preparation of fibre-flax stock

The thesis is dedicated to the development as well as theoretical and experimental investigations of processes and technical means for preparation and transportation of fibre-flax stock, which should ensure seed and fibre loss saving as well as their quality refinement. With the aim of the problem solving, developed and improved are processes intended for seed loss saving and its quality refinement as well as shortening stalk lengthening in the band when fibre-flax pulling, flax-stock preparation, and transportation; developed are mathematical models of working processes and procedures for optimization of machinery parameters for picking up and turning fibre-flax stock, and modernization of technological operations of preparation and transportation of fibre-flax stock is realized on this basis; updated is the picking up and turning device; developed are a device mounted on a tractor for transportation of flax round bales, a basic technology for production of flax output on the basis of improvement of combine-harvesting, and a new combined technology for flax pulling; specified are physical, mechanical, and technological properties of flax stalks; carried out are experimental investigations of processes and working members of machinery for preparation and transportation of fibre-flax stock with the purpose of their adequacy to the mathematical models; carried is a practical verification and estimated is the efficacy of developed processes and working members on machines for preparation and transportation of fibre-flax stock.
