Essay

The analysis of ionizing radiation contribution to formation and realization of the remote effects in bronchopulmonary system of the Chornobyl accident clean-up workers and employees of nuclear industry is carried out; the preventive measures addressing the reduction of bronchopulmonary pathology progression and lung cancer risk development are presented. Prevalence of chronic bronchopulmonary system diseases clean-up workers is 465,3 ‰ and is more in those, who where exposed to higher doses of irradiation. It is estimated that the heavy currency of COPD at liquidators is associated with pain, expressed violations of a pulmonary volumes ratio compared with nosological control. The greatest risk of lung cancer development was observed among people with radiation dose of more than 500 mSv, those with somatic diseases of bronchopulmonary system, smokers. For the first time the peculiarities of structural changes in the cells of bronchoalveolar lavage, bronchial mucosa in persons exposed to ionizing radiation in occupational limits were established
