Essay

The thesis develops the study of oscillations of mechanical system with an air caster and widens the class of studied oscillation regims. This allowed to obtain new data for updating and adding to constructional and technical requirements to pneumowheel vehicles, which will raise road safety. We have examined the frictional oscillations of mechanical shimmy engendering systems similar to the wheels of aircraft and motor cars. The research is limited by examination of quasitranslational shimmy, quasisolid shimmy and stability of stationary movement models. The ways of shimmy prevention have been demonstrated.
