Essay

Unionidae are proved to be represented in the fauna of Ukraine with 6 aboriginal and 1 adventive species which are found only in 54% of places fit for their existence. 87 to 100% of populations have density lower than optimal for normal amphimictic reproduction which caused rapid increase in haermophroditism level. Changes in Unionidae biocenotic links are registered. The adaptation strategies efficiency of aboriginal and adventive species are compared.
