The thesis is devoted to synthesis and structural study of branched star-like and brush-like copolymers Dextran-graft-Polyacrylamide corresponding to the theoretical model of spherical and cylinrical polymer brushes. The iniciation of radical graft polymerization was studied for dextran/Ce(IV)/aсrylamide system. It was shown that Dextnan macromolecule maintains compact coil conformation during the grafting process. The theoretical prediction that branched polymers have higher compact molecular structure in comparison with their linear analogues was confirmed. Internal molecular structure of D-g-PAA copolymers was depended on the distance between PAA grafts and their conformation. Branched polymers revealed higher degree of hydrolysis than linear PAA due to their compact structure coused higher concentration of the functional groups in local volume. The extrimly expanded structure of branched polyelectolytes in solution and bulk state was shown. Branched D-g-PAA copolymers are perspective functional materials. They can be used as efficient flocculants for water tritment and as the templates in nanotechnology.
