Essay

Paper is devoted to carrying out theoretical foundations of new direction - relativistic spectroscopy of autoionization states AS of heavy atomic systems with accounting effects of external electromagnetic fields, atomic collisions and quantum chaos. Based on a new QED perturbation theory and energy approach it is developed a precise decay theory of AS for atoms in a free state and in an external electric field, a new approach to calculating collisional shift and broadening parameters for spectral lines in a buffer gas medium. There are firstly obtained new data on energy, radiation-autoionization paraneters for Не, barium, thallium, lead, lanthanide atoms (ytterbium, thulium) with discovery of new effects of resonances broadening chaos.
