Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the development of theory and methods for dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete buildings, taking into account nonlinear deformation and damage of structures under the effects of major earthquakes and aftershocks, as well as experimental and theoretical methods for assessing the level of earthquake resistance of buildings, the development of a new method (the development of Eurocode 8) the calculation of non-linear displacements for the design of buildings structural plasticity of a given category based on the proposed schedules of inelastic response spectra. To justify the validity of the developed methods were tested full-scale fragments of large-and large-block houses under alternating loads and compare the results of calculations with the dynamic tests carried out by vibrating and shake table. Experimental data on the static and dynamic characteristics of the seismic isolation rubber blocks (developed, patented and manufactured in Ukraine) and the results of numerical studies of seismic loads on the seismically isolated high-rise building.
