Korol A. The system of differential diagnosis and treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration

Object: wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Purpose: to increase efficacy of treatment of patients with wet AMD by the development of differentiated methods of diagnosis and treatment based on the study of pathogenetic significance of morphological and functional abnormalities of the choroid and the retina. Methods: morphological, statistical, fluorescent angiography, optical coherent tomography, rheoophthalmography; slit lamp Topcon, fundus camera Opton, optical tomograph Stratus 3000, electron microscope ПЭМ-100-01. There was found that all patients with wet AMD have circulatory disorders of the eye. Increased scientific evidence of changes of the choroid and retina in rabbits after the influence of inhibitors of angiogenesis. There was updated clinical classification of AMD. The method of treatment of retinal pigment epithelium detachment was developed. The algorithm for individualized treatment of patients with wet AMD was proposed.
