Objekt: the English lyrics of 1900-1920s. Aim: to identify the paradigmatic features, specificity and principal tendencies in the development of the English lyrics of the first third of the XXth century. Methods: textual, hermeneutic, stylistic, comparative-historical, receptive aesthetics. Scientific novelty: at first in the Ukrainian literary science the English lyrics of 1900-1920s is presented as a consistent system in the process of complex transformation viewed in dialectics of interaction between national tradition and its integration into the world artistic space of Modernism.
