Essay

The phenomenon of criminal violence is researched. The concept and the essence of violent crime are defined. A comprehensive study of violent crime's latency is realized. A complex of factors of violent crime's determination (biological factors, psychological abnormalities, environmental (natural) factors and social factors) is researched from the perspective of systemic approach. Conceptual grounds of constructing the strategy of counteracting criminal violence are formulated. The problems are researched; and the ways of improving the system of measures of counteracting violent crime are offered.
