Essay

Subject of study: benign and malignant nodular neoplasm of thyroid gland (TG). The aim is to justify and develop new methods of diagnosis and treatment of the patients with nodular goiter forms on the basis of determining of clinical-morphological variants of TG focal lesions and prognostic factors. Methods of study: clinical, epidemiological, genealogical, immunoenzymatic, radiologic, immunohistochemical, sonographic, molecular genetical, statistical. For the first time the specifics of local cellular immunity to thyroid disease were identified. The prospect of the expression of receptors for collagen type IV and endothelin-1 circuits for differential diagnosis and targeted therapy of thyroid tumors has been proven. The essential role of specific genetic factors in the formation of thyroid nodules have been installed. Hypothesis on polymorphism of papillary thyroid cancer was confirmed on the basis of molecular genetic analysis of gene BRAFV600E mutation. The feasibility of intraoperative dosed cryoaction as immunomodulatory and preventive method on the development and progression of postoperative hypothyroidism was proved. Field of use: endocrinology, surgery, pathomorphology.
