Kopotun I. Theoretical and applied legal principles of prevention of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies of Ukraine.

The thesis deals with the problem of theoretical and applied legal principles of prevention of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies of Ukraine. The conceptual apparatus and methodological framework of the research are defined. Particular attention is paid to the historical and international aspects of prevention of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies. The problematic issues of multiple crimes concerning emergency situations in correctional colonies are studied. The criminal and legal characteristics is carried out concerning crimes against life and health (articles 115, 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), offenses against justice (articles 391, 392, 393 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and other crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies (articles 294, 147, 349 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The status and trends, causes and conditions of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies are established. The characteristics of convicts committing crimes and victims of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies are shown. The system (common-social, specially-criminological and individual preventive measures) to prevent crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies is carried out. The legal and organizational supports for the prevention of crimes that cause emergency situations in correctional colonies are researched. Suggestions for the improvement of current legislation and recommendations aimed at improving the practices of correctional colonies for the prevention of crimes that cause emergency situations are carried out.
