Essay

The doctoral thesis is devoted to establishing diagnostic interconnections of optical field polarization and correlation parameters. The coherence degree of the fields can be defined by estimating the polarization distribution at homogeneous field intensity in the registration plane. It is shown that only by changing the polarization state of the incident wave and the direction of irradiating polarization-sensitive materials, especially when irradiating them in the z-direction, a complex spectrum of frequency absorption can be realized, and it corresponds to the excitation of proper exciton zones. In this case polarization optical bistability with a controlled intensity region of bistable values and a range of values of crystal transmission can be realized as well.
