Essay

Object of research - the processes of meter, decimeter and centimeter wave propagation above the ocean surface beyond-the-radio horizon. Aim of research - to establish the peculiarities of beylond-the-horizon radio wave propagation in the different regions of the World Ocean with different meteorological conditions and their influence on radar observation of the surface obgects. Method of research - common radiophysical approach to investigations of radio wave propagation. Results - distance dependences of radio wave attenuation factor have been determined in unexplored earlier regions of the World Ocean. Application field - radiophysics and radars.
