Essay

On the example of Ukrainian Polissya sphagnum bogs the principle of coexistence of endophytic fungi associations with plants were formulated; the biological diversity and physiologically-biochemical peculiarities of endophytes which determine the common regularities of substrate colonization by them as well as their mutualistic coexistence were established. Dissertation is devoted to study of formation and coexistence of endophytic micromycete associations with mosses, ericoid, herbaceous and woody plants on the example as well as to comparative investigation of physiological properties of endophytes, plant pathogenic and soil isolates. Endophytic fungi of 36 plant species of Ukrainian Polissya sphagnum bogs belong to 118 species of 58 genera of Zygomycota and Ascomycota divisions and were classified as 2 and 3 classes of NC-type. R.J. Rodriguez et al. (2009) classification of endophytic fungi was completed by new data concerning significant biodiversity of endophytes of 2 NC-type. Endophytic micromycetes are the permanent component of sphagnum bogs. In every species of sphagnum bog plants the own complex of endophytic micromycetes is formed, 3-4 of them are found constantly. The species diversity of endophytes didn't differ in different organs of each plant. Mutualistic coexistence with host plant is determined by high speed of extensional colonization of substrate, by high values of economic coefficients and biomass concentration, by low hydrolytic activity, by ability to transform more toxic T-2 toxin to its less toxic derivates.
