Object of researches. Regularities of the formation of economically valuable traits that include growth, development and productivity for multidirectional selection work. The morphometric system, factor, cluster and statistical information on the population structure of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of different types of birds. Article of researches. Theory of the formation of quantitative traits in ontogenesis and phylogenesis; The morphometric improvement methodology, factor, genetic-information structure of mono-and polygenic traits; population, lines and hybrids of chickens of different productive direction, turkeys and geese domestic breeding. Methods of researches. Zootechnic, morphological, ecological and genetic, morphometric, correlation, multivariate, information-statistical, economic and systemic. Scientific novelty of the got results. For the first time in Ukraine ever comprehensive assessment and presented a methodology of strategic management processes of formation of economically valuable traits as a dynamic system, in ontogeny and phylogeny, which is based on studies of complex patterns at different stages of the selection process improvement. The methodology combines: a comprehensive evaluation approach of quantitative traits in the parameters of their formation during the growth, development and productivity of poultry; system evaluation and structure patterns of monogenic and polygenic traits in ontogeny and phylogeny; algorithms for determining the adaptive capacity and profile of populations of chickens for monogenic and polygenic traits, their level of in formativeness of the various stages of the selection process; set of single- and multi-dimensional methods for determining diversity of populations on quantitative traits. Practical value of the got results. The basic provisions the methodology used in breeding programs (creating populations of meat-egg hens, including carriers of dwarfism; resynthesis two varieties of chickens with black and brindle plumage coloration, improved breeds of chickens "Poltava clay" and baselines average cross turkeys "Kharkov"). With the developed system of monitoring studies conducted domestic breeding birds (chickens of different directions productivity) and turkeys average cross "Kharkiv".
