Melnyk S. Scientific Foundations of Production and Technology of Mono- and Diesters of Aliphatic Carboxylic Acids

The thesis is dedicated to the development of scientific foundations and creation of technology of individual mono- and diesters of aliphatic carboxylic acids, as well as their mixtures using Lewis and Bronsted-Lowry acids as a catalyst. Kinetic and technological regularities of carboxylic acid esterification with alcohols in open and closed system have been ascertained. Dependences of the indicators of technological process on catalyst type, structure of the reactants and reaction terms have been determined. Optimum production conditions of esters of different structure have been found out. Basic technological principles of diesters mixtures production from by-products and wastes of number of industries have been defined.
