Processes of strategic management of a metallurgical enterprise are a research object. Research methods: theoretical generalization, scientific abstraction, grouping and coefficient analysis, scenario approach and methods of economic analysis, methods of planning and expert judgements.The thesis is devoted methodological and theoretical reasons and development of conceptual provisions, methodical approaches and methods of forming and development of a strategic changes management system of the enterprises of ferrous metallurgy. New direction of research is offered in thesis - theory of methodological pre-conditions of forming and development of control system by strategic changes in activity of enterprises of ferrous metallurgy. Practical meaningfulness of work is determined by introduction of its results in activity of the metallurgical enterprise.
