Dissertation is devoted to the concept of political mobilization realized through the instrument of social media. The concept of political mobilization as a political participation of individuals and as an integral part of political systems is developed. The trend of fading political activity is defined as a diversification of political participation process. The role of social media as an instrument of political mobilization is analyzed, as they have enhanced the ability of political actors to mobilize their audience, simplified the process of expansion of political information and reduced the transactional costs for political participation. The author demonstrates that political mobilization through the instrument of social media involves in political participation the apolitical groups of voters. As social media are available to any political actor they can be used under any political regime, either democratic or authoritarian. The concept of minus mobilization is revealed for the first time as a process which determines the expansion of political apathy in the society and is the after-effect of global politics' crisis, the indication of its simulative nature in the modern world. The analysis of negative mobilization reveals the importance of emotional factor in the activation of public opinion and rise of political commitment. It is demonstrated that social media are creating the collectivity of a new type, which transforms the modern individualistic society, providing the new dimension for political mobilization.
