Essay

Aim of the study - is to increase the outcome of the surgical treatment and quality of life of patients with rectal cancer by using of sphinctersaving resection with reconstruction and restoration of the structures of pelvic floor. Scope of investigation included 2803 patients operated for rectum cancer. Based on the study of multiple variants of the pelvic diaphragm injury, the thesis gives theoretically substantiated solution of the actual issue in onco-proctology that enables to improve the quality of the post-operative patients' life. Subject to developed injury classification, the consequence of recovery actions had been proposed, which are dedicated to preservation and restoration of pelvic diaphragm elements that ensure the anal continence function. Post-operative functional examinations prove the reliability of recovery methodologies developed: after the inter-sphincter resections have been performed, the value of the parameter of such examination of Wexner scale makes 10,1±0,5 that says for high functional efficiency of the generated surgical rehabilitation programs for rectum cancer patients.
