Essay

The thesis focuses on the dynamic semantic models of perception vocabulary in three Indo-European languages both closely and distantly related (Ukrainian, Polish and English). The paper substantiates the principles of a complex research of perception vocabulary and elaborates the methods of its semantics comparison in the Ukrainian, Polish and English languages. It reveals the dynamic semantic models of predicative and substantive perception vocabulary in the contrasted languages and reflects the peculiarities of the conceptualizations of the object and subject participants accordingly. The paper establishes similarities and differences in the ways the semantics of perception vocabulary reflects the information on how people perceive the world.
