Chorna N. Historiography of the Ukrainian-Polish relations in the period of 1990th - 2014.

The thesis deals with the historiography of the Ukrainian-Polish 1990th - 2014 relations. The main focus is set on the works of Ukrainian, Polish, Russian and some western scholars. The thesis has established the theoretical and methodological premises for the study, has determined the level of scientific insight into the problem and has offered a classification of the sources bulk. The thesis provides a clear insight into the conceptual grounds of the historiographic Ukrainian-Polish relations. The works of scholars discussing the historical backgrounds of the modern interstate relations onset have been analyzed, as well as the evolutionary milestones of such relations. The thesis has engineered the approaches to stipulating the "great powers" policy effect on the said relationship. It highlights the contribution of the researchers to comprehension of the political, commercial, financial and socio-cultural components of the relationship Ukraine and Poland. The thesis sheds light on cooperation between the countries in the context of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes, on the place and role of Poland in the relationship between Ukraine and the EU and NATO.
