Essay

For the first time in native historical science in this thesis the formation of ethnoconfessional community of "lipovans" (Russian-Old-Believers) is investigated comprehensive on the basis of published sources, archival documents and expeditionary materials with a broad range of historiographical narratives. In the research was analyzed the fact of supporters' "Old Pieties" migration in the Ottoman-Russian borderland (Moldova, Bukovina, Bessarabia, Dobrudzha). The way of conversion the first of communities into original Diaspora groups during the second half of 18th - early 19ht century is reconstructed also traced particular factors of these processes on the background of military-political confrontation between the two empires in the North-West Black Sea.
