Vladychenko L. Contemporary relations between the state and religious organizations: comparative analysis of Ukrainian and Polish experience.

The thesis deals with comparative analysis of the contemporary relations between the state and religious organizations in Ukraine and Poland. Theoretical and methodological basis for research of relations between public and religions institutions have been analyzed. Legal regulation of relations between the state and religious organizations in above mentioned countries has been considered. The attention is focused on the highlighting of the entities of state-confession relations activities. This research has determined that the state is represented by specialized bodies at central and regional level meanwhile the religious part is represented by interconfessional associations including non-governmental advisory and consulting institutions. Recent transformations in central administrations responsible for religious issues in Ukraine and Poland accordingly have been evaluated with regard to administrative reforms needed in both countries. Important issues in the field of relations between the State and religious organizations have been developed, particularly, the restitution of church property, spiritual and morality-based subjects learning in schools, issues of military chaplains' implementation in Army Forces of both countries. The dynamics of change has been found out and state of play regarding religious network in Ukraine has been examined.
