Ganushchak-Yefimenko L. Mechanism of Innovative Business Development in Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the development and substantiation of theoretical and conceptual framework and methodological tools formation mechanism for innovative business development in Ukraine considering the nonlinear nature of economic processes inherent in transformation economy of Ukraine. A concept and methodological principles of innovative business development in Ukraine have been grounded and proposed for further implementation, a critical analysis of strategic initiatives and models of Ukraine in the context of innovation and structural change is conducted, transformational stages in Ukraine's development and their characteristics are identified, revealing the decisive role of innovative entrepreneurship in particular as the basis and engine of economic progress in the above process. The socioeconomic essence of the national innovation system as the subject and object of the theoretic economic research has been determined. The relationship between the categories of "innovation", "innovation development", "innovative enterprise" and "national innovation system" are disclosed. The conceptual foundations of the system of innovative development of knowledge-based enterprises along with their categorical apparatus and methodological tools are developed, the rationale for the creation of territorial and sectoral priority clusters is reasoned. Conceptual framework for monitoring the indicators of innovation development based on the key parameters of components (projections) of the European Innovation Scoreboard indicators has been offered. A method of regional clustering to assess the possibility of forming territorial and sectoral clusters in the region is proposed, enveloping the emergence of new network forms of production, working out categorical apparatus and methodological tools for exploring the nature, contents and major areas of innovation, industrial, cluster and spatial policy development at the regional level. The new standards forming the necessary institutional arrangements and mechanisms for improving organizational and functional structure of innovative entrepreneurship in Ukraine are suggested. An approach is offered for strategy development within the creation of specialized firms and clusters formation targeted at new products. An integrated approach to enhance innovation and investment policy, establishing scientific, technological and industrial clusters, technology parks, support mechanisms and other stimulation instruments for business innovative processes further development is also provided. A step-by-step procedure for modelling the innovation process as a prerequisite for the formation of an effective mechanism of innovative development is proposed. Methodological approaches have been elaborated in order to identify and create competitive advantages of innovation active enterprises and classify their factors, to substantiate the assessment methods for evaluation their further upgrade, as well as use of favorable macroeconomic and institutional environment for the development of traditional industries and new high-tech clusters.
