Object - the processes of management of passenger transport long-distance rail and road transport of Ukraine. Goal - through the use of system approach and system analysis methodology to develop theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations for the development and improvement of organizational-economic mechanism of ensuring the efficiency of passenger transport long-distance traffic in the conditions of development of market relations. Novelty - for the first time developed a strategy of co-evolution of organizational-economic mechanism of ensuring the efficiency of passenger transport, and proposed the creation of a unified marketing and logistics centre coordination between road and rail transport, the main carriers of passengers, theoretically substantiated the need for the implementation of specific economic models of flexible regulation of tariffs for transportations of passengers and a new methodological approach to determining the competitive position of the enterprises of passenger transport. It has been improved directions for the development of passenger service and tariff policy, formed the model of the competitive advantages of different modes of transport for passenger transportations, improved the organizational and economic mechanism of ensuring the efficiency of passenger transportations in the direct communication.
