Theoretical and methodological principles of state policy and market mechanisms of providing economic security of small-scale business as a sector of economy in the national economic security were studied and improved. The determinative description of category and structural model of the economic security of small business as a combination of its elements were scientifically identified and it helped to distinguish it as a separate category, to give it the author's definition, establish a clear connection between economic security and other categories. The classification system functioning of small business threats as a sector of economy in Ukraine was specified. It was explained intrinsic characteristics, structure, tasks and functional ability of the national system of the economic security of small business and the necessity of its formation was proved. The government and non-government regulation of economic security of small business was generalized, feasibility and areas of its application in Ukraine were proved. Methodological base and methodical providing of evaluation the economic security level of small business as a sector of economy were improved and methodical providing of evaluation the effectiveness of its government and non-government provision was justified and offered. Conceptual bases and main directions of improvement of government and non-government provision of economic security of small-scale business were justified. Instruments and measures forming a national system of economic security of small-scale business and secure business environment were offered. Predictable economic, organizational, social impact in the near and long term implementation of the proposals having been presented in the dissertation was determined.
