Essay

Thesis summarizes data of comprehensive clinical, laboratory and instrumental examination of 362 patients with chronic pancreatitis on the background of obesity and insulin resistance. We analyzed the peculiarities of the clinical course, functional and structural pancreatic disorders, the nature and severity of biochemical disturbances, the changes in cellular and humoral immunity and microhemodynamic disorders, the quality of life in patients with chronic pancreatitis on the background of different types of obesity and insulin resistance. Reasonability of differentiated therapy with L-carnitine and selenium preparations upon female type of obesity, as well as the use of stevia and antihomotoxical drugs upon male type of obesity, is pathogenetically substantiated. Patients with comorbid pathology should undergo medical rehabilitation with preparations of natural origin.
