The study gives clinical-pathogenetic grounds and evaluation to the effectiveness of MDCT and MRI use in the diagnosing and treatment diagnostic follow up in the treatment of congenital heart defects in children. MRI and MDCT investigations were use to examine 1939 children with congenital heart disease on different stages before (955 patients) and after surgical treatment (984 patients).The suggested methodology of MDCT and MRI diagnostics of the congenital heart disease allowed to optimize examinations by rule: "the maximum amount of accurate information - within the shortest term and with minimal risk".
