Object of research: processes converted the kinetic energy of wind into electricity by wind turbines and wind power plants. Purpose of work: development of theoretical basis, mathematical models and methods to account the random processes in the conversion of wind energy by wind power plants, identifying possible modes of WPP as a part of energy system. Methods of research: statistical and regression time series analysis, mathematical modeling of random processes, computer simulation and Monte Carlo methods. Theoretical and practical results. Innovations: developed an adaptive method for predicting of WPP power, improved method of modeling WPP group power by stochastic differential equations, established new patterns of the probability distribution of wind speed and power of WPP, developed a new mathematical model of joint work of WPP group and power system, has been further developed method for determining the value of spare capacity, depending the volume of WPP Object and degree of introduction: State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, NEC "Ukrenergo", Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (Standard State Committee), the ISTC of wind energy Renewable Energy Institute of NASU, "Wind Power" Ltd., "Crocus-Tech Sp." Ltd. Efficiency of introduction: adoption of regulations, the use of forecasting.Utilization field: wind energy.
