BPD morbidity among premature children in Kharkiv region over the period of 2007-2014 has increased from 2.01% to 14.98%. AA polymorphism of MMP-1 gene (1607insG) induces disease formation, inhibition of arteriolo- and angiogenesis of the lungs and reparation of pulmonary parenchyma due to activation of TGF-?1, reduction of VEGF. With aging in children with Aa and aa variants of MMP-1 gene (1607insG), TGF-?1 and VEGF blood serum level tend to be within the normal range and, on the contrary, in case of AA variant stagnation of plasm TGF-?1 and VEGF indices is observed. The research findings have become the basis for introduction of effective suitable for application algorithms of prognosis and prevention of outcomes of bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
